Over Lindsay Lawson: Lawson (1982, USA) received her BFA in Sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University, her MFA in New Genres from UCLA, and attended the StŠdelschule in Frankfurt am Main. She has exhibited internationally at venues such as Gillmeier Rech, Berlin; Herald St., London; Frutta Gallery, Rome; LAXART, Los Angeles; Yossi Milo Gallery, New York; Carroll/Fletcher, London; Galerie Jeanroch Dard, Brussels; Galerie Tobias Naehring, Leipzig.

Als gevolg van haar tentoonstelling met de titel Arrangements bij 1646, kunnen Lindsay Lawsons edities worden beschouwd als variaties op de betekenis van dat woord, Engels voor ‘schikking’.
In dit geval neemt ‘schikking’ de vorm aan van een ruimte, volledig ingericht met verschillende dingen, oftewel, de aanwezigheid van objecten in virtuele en tastbare ruimtes. Haar projecten onderzoeken ook verschillende vormen van verliefdheid tussen virtuele persona’s, en virtuele en tastbare objecten, deze thema’s komen samen in de Friends editie.
