On 26th of May Lindsay Lawson presented an evening inspired by her exhibition Arrangements.

The plot of Lindsay Lawson’s new film which was on view at 1646, revolves around a woman who falls in love with a stone. The central character is an objectum sexual, a person who has emotional, romantic, and sexual relationships with objects. Lawson’s research on this orientation towards objects has been an inspiration for her practice for the past several years leading her to explore themes ranging from object-oriented ontology, fringe sexualities, virtual relationships, and aura and provenance of objects. The background evening was an opportunity to share information about these topics in the context of the film, which were screened in the beginning of the event.
