Over Miki Carmi: Carmi (b. 1976, Israel) received his M.F.A. from Columbia University in 2005 and graduated from Bezalel Academy of art and design in Jerusalem in 2003. - About Tami Ben-Tor: Ben-Tor (b. 1975, Israel) lives and works in New York, NY. Tamy Ben-Tor is a graduate of The School of Visual Theatre, Jerusalem in 2001, and the M.F.A. program in Visual Art at Columbia University. With costumes, props, and makeup, Ben-Tor’s performances confront political issues, cultural cliches, and racial stereotypes. Ben-Tor has performed at international festivals, including The International Puppet Festival, France; the PIF 2000 Festival, Zagreb, Croatia; and the LUTKE festival, Ljubljana, Slovenia. Her video work has been shown internationally at NGBK/Bethanien Gallery in Berlin, P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center as part of Greater New York 2005, and at Zach Feuer Gallery. As a part of PERFORMA 05, Tamy Ben-Tor performed Exotica, the Rat, and the Liberal. She debuted “Judensau” at Salon 94 as a part of PERFORMA 07
