The work of Tobias Sjöberg often starts through ideas around non-embodied definitions, emotions and sensibility in relation to physical sensation. It frequently moves between the everyday and its elevation, creating shifts in everyday objects, artefacts, and everyday situations–usually through a common social act.

The exhibition POOL related ideas about human interplay with gravity and how celestial bodies hold each other in place. The central piece for the exhibition was a circular round pool – a public swimming pool, immersed in the floor. The installation explored the relation between objects in space, as well as the tension between audience and objectification in its inherent invitation to participation.
