Info

About Helgi Thorsson At this moment Helgi Thorsson (Iceland, 1975) is mostly designing furniture and making pottery although painting and sculpting never leaves his side. At Art Rotterdam he made the site specific installation Domti collection. In the installation he demonstrated his new designs and their functions. All together creating a jazzy fusion, where visitors should take time to taste a little tail of a cock. Some call it visual poetry? One thing is for sure Domti collection mesmerizes you with pure beauty and magic, Domti collection is a must have for any art lover and collector. Helgi is known for his art all over the world mostly working In Iceland, Finnland, Norway and now the Netherlands where he did his art studies. Shana Moulton Shana Moulton presented Mindplace Thoughtstream. This video features Moulton’s alter ego Cynthia using the MindPlace ThoughtStream Biofeedback Performance System, a device that helps to attain unprecedented states of wellness and self-control. Cynthia’s attempt at biofeedback triggers a disoriented dialog between her inner and outer world that lacks any sense of self-control but still manages to help her achieve some form of wellness. Through her performances, videos, and multidimensional installations, Shana Moulton (American, 1976) creates worlds at the threshold of absurdity and truth, catharsis and cliché, the material and the spiritual. Ascribing healing properties to the banal trappings of everyday life, Moulton’s works elicit a potent empathy on the part of the viewer that allows for her narratives to continue beyond the immediate experience of an artwork.
