Between 3 and 18 September 2010, 1646 presented the video trilogy Beyond Guilt by Israeli artists Ruti Sela and Maayan Amir. In their individual practices Sela and Amir explore issues of identity and mechanisms of creating a notion of the other.
Their collaborative video trilogy looks into the entanglement of sex and the structural violence of the state. Through unapologetic images of brazen dialogues, seemingly erotic conversations often take an unexpected turn.
