On 15 September Rune Peitersen compiled an evening inspired by the exhibition at 1646 First by the Danish artist Christian Falsnaes.

At the hand of (news-)media images and videos from his personal archive, a couple of Christian’s performances and a good deal of free association, half-baked ideas and potentially embarrassing ramblings, Rune Peitersen thought out loud about the mingling of artistic imagery and news images and whether or not an artist has an obligation to try to influence the world beyond the art world and its highly informed audience.

About Christian Falsnaes: Falsnaes (b. 1980, Denmark) studied Philosophy at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, Austria. Previously he has had solo exhibitions at a.o. Kunstverein Braunschweig, KW Institute of Contemporary Art, Berlin, Art Basel Statements, Switzerland, KIOSK, Ghent and has participated in group shows at Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna, Centre Pompidou, Paris, Art Basel Miami Beach, Bonner Kunstverein, Bonn among many other exhibitions internationally.
