:
The making of something is a project which focuses on testing the format of collaboration within a group show. For this project the artists were selected on the basis of certain similarities in their working approach and are given a set of working conditions: two weeks of build-up and collaborative period inside 1646 and the condition that nothing could be prepared in advance.
Those two weeks developed into a very intense working period, characterised by much dialogue between the artists. Although each artist is freely able to focus on his/her own body of work, subtle influences take place between the individual artists. It is from such newly found affinities and intersections that something within the group can take form.
