The One Minutes-Healing Tool

Curated by Shana Moulton

“Create a one minute, moving image healing tool. Make your video into a healing tool that is under one minute.

Shape a one-minute healing tool from some video and sound material. Make a tool for healing out of video and sound

Take some video and sound, and make a healing tool out of it!”

By way of The One Minutes, Shana Moulton had a message sent to artists, asking them to make a One Minute Healing Tool. Her final selection consists of 23 One Minute videos from The One Minutes Archive and new videos.

Through her performances, videos, and multidimensional installations, Shana Moulton (American, b. 1976) creates worlds at the threshold of absurdity and truth, catharsis and cliché, the material and the spiritual.

The One Minutes publishes a series of One Minute films every month, inviting a guest artist to conceive and curate a series.

Participating artists:

Shana Moulton, Hilary Harp and Suzie Silver, Gilsuk Ko, Michael Robinson,

Rosa Doornenbal, Sarah Milanowski, Laurel Beckman, Casey McGonagle, Brenna Murphy, Florian and Michael Quistrebert, Michael Iaugh, Jessica Fenlon, Maximilian Fedyk, Sophie Penkethman, Stephanie Barber and C. Spencer Yeh, Anja Masling, Misha de Ridder, Matt Barton, Vera Hofmann, Nick Hallett, Pauline Curnier Jardin, Erica Magrey, Timo van Barneveld and Tibor Bijl.
